Friends of the Library are to bring people, caring people who are willing to work for the betterment of their library.

They have provided the library with $2,500.00 of books that was thru a Mills Endowment grant and coffee that is served during the farmers market held at the gazebo.

Most of the items donated to the library should be property of the library and the library board will deceide if any need to be weeded in time.

The friends have donated 4 computers and 4 chairs thru a grant they received.  These also now belong to the library.

To serve as only an advisory auxiliary to the Board of Directors and the Director of the Silver City Library.  To increase knowledge and a better understanding of the resources, services, operation and needs of the library.

The Library Board members run the library and most of their finances are thru donations, memorial money and what ever the city can afford to give them.
